Men's Basketball to Host Two Camps this June & July

RINDGE (May, 11, 2010) - The Franklin Pierce University men's basketball team will host a pair of summer camps this June & July on the Rindge campus. There will be a half-day camp from June 21-25, and a team camp from July 9-11. Head coach David Chadbourne and selected members of the men's basketball team will be on hand to provide instruction and demonstrations. Five Ravens Land on 2010 Northeast-10 Winter Academic All-Conference Teams

RINDGE, N.H. (April 18, 2010) – Five Franklin Pierce student-athletes were recently named to the 2010 Northeast-10 Winter Academic All-Conference team in their respective sports. Junior guard Kinard Dozier (Dedham, Mass.) earned a spot on the men’s basketball squad, while senior standout Johannah Leedham (Ellesmere Port, England) and junior guard Cynthia Gaudet (Coventry, R.I.) were named to the women’s basketball team. In ice hockey, senior forward Phil LaBreck (Thornton, N.H.) and junior forward Sean Woodring (Rogue River, Oregon) each earned a spot on the academic squad. Franklin Pierce was tied for the most academic selections in each of the three sports listed above.

RINDGE, N.H. (February 26, 2010) – Franklin Pierce University men’s basketball standouts Kinard Dozier (Dedham, Mass.) and Eric Jean-Guillaume (Stamford, Conn.) were honored by the Northeast-10 Conference on Friday, as the league handed out its yearly awards. Dozier landed on the conference’s third-team, marking the second time in his three seasons he was placed on one of the all-league teams. Dozier was placed on the NE-10 All-Rookie Team during his freshman year of 2007-08. Jean-Guillaume was named to the all-rookie team, becoming the first player since Dozier to be placed on the squad.

(February 24, 2010) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s basketball team staged a late-game rally to keep their dreams of a Northeast-10 Tournament bid alive, but it was not to be as UMass-Lowell picked up a 71-68 win on Wednesday in The Fieldhouse in Rindge. The Ravens concluded the 2009-10 season with a 12-15 overall record and a 7-15 mark in the conference. The Riverhawks improved to 16-11 and 13-9 in league play.

(February 20, 2010) -- Junior guard Kinard Dozier (Dedham, Mass.) laid in a basket with :01 remaining in the game to lift the Franklin Pierce University men's basketball team to a thrilling 72-70 win at No. 10 nationally-ranked Bentley University on Saturday afternoon. The Ravens improved to 12-14 overall and 7-14 in the Northeast-10 Conference. Bentley fell to 22-4 overall and 17-4 in league play. It marked the second-straight year the Ravens defeated a nationally-ranked opponent on the road.

The Ravens dipped to 11-14 overall and 6-14 in the Northeast-10, while the Warriors improved to 16-7 and 14-6 in league play.

MANCHESTER, N.H. (February 13, 2010) -- Jjunior guard Kinard Dozier (Dedham, Mass.) reach and impressive career milestone as he scored his 1,000th-career point in the first half. Dozier had nine points in the game, including getting three of those on his triple at the 10:37 mark of the first half which not only knotted the game at 23, but gave him the career milestone.

RINDGE, N.H. (February 9, 2010) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s basketball team picked up an important and impressive 79-72 win over Saint Michael’s on Tuesday in The Fieldhouse in Rindge. The Ravens (11-12, 6-12 Northeast-10) avenged an early season loss to the Purple Knights (9-13, 5-13 NE-10), as they pulled out a 92-86 win in Colchester, Vt. back on Nov. 24.

It marked the fifth time this season Ray was named to the Honor Roll, as he earned a spot on the list during each of the first four weeks of the season.

(February 6, 2010) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s basketball team snapped a two-game losing skid on Saturday afternoon with a 69-58 win over Southern New Hampshire in The Fieldhouse in Rindge. The Ravens, who improved to 10-12 overall and 5-12 in the Northeast-10, swept the two-game regular season series from the Penmen (13-9, 8-9 NE-10). Franklin Pierce also picked up an 83-77 win over SNHU back on Jan. 2 in Manchester. That win also snapped a losing streak for the Ravens, who entered the game on a six-game skid.
