(July 26, 2012) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s basketball team was recently honored by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as the Ravens earned a No. 21 national ranking in the WBCA Division II Academic Top-25 Poll. Franklin Pierce, which was one of only two schools in the Northeast-10 Conference to appear in the rankings, earned a team GPA of 3.446 during the past academic year.

It marks the first time in the nation’s history that Great Britain will be represented at the Olympic games in the sport of women’s basketball.

(March 1, 2012) -- The Franklin Pierce University women's basketball team battled valiantly on Thursday night in the Northeast-10 Conference semifinals, but the Ravens came up just short in a tough 69-65 double-overtime setback to top-seeded and No. 6 nationally ranked Bentley at the Dana Center in Waltham, Mass. The fourth-seeded Ravens fell to 19-9 and will await word on their NCAA Division II Tournament fate on Sunday evening during the tournament selection show. The Falcons improved to 26-3 and advanced to Sunday's championship game where they will play host to second-seeded Southern Connecticut State.

The fourth-seeded Ravens improved to 19-8 and advanced to the semifinals on Thursday where they will face top-seed and regular season champion Bentley at 7 p.m. in the Dana Center in Waltham, Mass. Fifth-seeded SNHU concluded its season with a 19-10 mark.
