(August 21, 2012) -- Former Franklin Pierce University women's basketball standout Johannah Leedham (Ellesmere Port, England) was recently named to the 2012 All-Olympic Women's Basketball Second-Team, which was produced by EuroBasket.com(.) Leedham earned a spot on the impressive squad after she turned in several spectacular performances for Great Britain as the team was making its first-ever appearance in the Summer Olympics earlier this month.
Women's Basketball Ranked 21st in WBCA Division II Academic Top-25 Poll

RINDGE, N.H. (July 26, 2012) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s basketball team was recently honored by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as the Ravens earned a No. 21 national ranking in the WBCA Division II Academic Top-25 Poll. Franklin Pierce, which was one of only two schools in the Northeast-10 Conference to appear in the rankings, earned a team GPA of 3.446 during the past academic year.

The contest will be a tune-up for both teams as they prepare for the upcoming Summer Olympics in London.

It marks the first time in the nation’s history that Great Britain will be represented at the Olympic games in the sport of women’s basketball.

(March 10, 2012) -- The Franklin Pierce University women's basketball team's bid for an upset of top-seeded and No. 5 nationally ranked Bentley came up just short, 54-52, in the 2012 NCAA Division II East Regional Semifinals on Saturday night at the Dana Center in Waltham, Mass. The fourth-seeded Ravens concluded their season with a 20-10 record, while Bentley improved to 29-3 and advanced to the regional final on Monday night versus Holy Family at 7 p.m.

(March 1, 2012) -- The Franklin Pierce University women's basketball team battled valiantly on Thursday night in the Northeast-10 Conference semifinals, but the Ravens came up just short in a tough 69-65 double-overtime setback to top-seeded and No. 6 nationally ranked Bentley at the Dana Center in Waltham, Mass. The fourth-seeded Ravens fell to 19-9 and will await word on their NCAA Division II Tournament fate on Sunday evening during the tournament selection show. The Falcons improved to 26-3 and advanced to Sunday's championship game where they will play host to second-seeded Southern Connecticut State.

(February 26, 2012) -- The Franklin Pierce University women's basketball team opened Northeast-10 Conference Tournament play on Sunday with a solid 85-66 win over Southern New Hampshire in the quarterfinals at The Fieldhouse in Rindge. The fourth-seeded Ravens improved to 19-8 and advanced to the semifinals on Thursday where they will face top-seed and regular season champion Bentley at 7 p.m. in the Dana Center in Waltham, Mass. Fifth-seeded SNHU concluded its season with a 19-10 mark.
