NE10 Suspends Conference-Sponsored Competition for Fall Semester

MANSFIELD, Mass. (July 16, 2020) – The Council of Presidents of the Northeast-10 Conference voted on Thursday, July 16, to suspend all NE10-sponsored competition and championships through December 31 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ravens Have 327 Student-Athletes Named to NE10 Academic Honor Roll

MANSFIELD, Mass. (July 9, 2020) – The Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics has had 327 student-athletes named to the Northeast-10 Conference Academic Honor Roll for the spring 2020 semester, as announced on Thursday by the Conference office.
Dr. Laura Christoph Earns NE10 Faculty Mentor Award

MANSFIELD, Mass. (May 29, 2020) – Franklin Pierce University’s Dr. Laura Christoph, an associate professor in the institution’s Health Sciences department, has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Northeast-10 Conference’s Dr. Dave Landers Faculty Mentor Award, as announced on Thursday afternoon by the Conference office. The award is one of five major, year-end awards announced by the NE10 this week.
Caitlin Sweeney ’18 Named as Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach

(May 27, 2020) – Franklin Pierce University Director of Athletics Rachel Burleson has announced Caitlin Sweeney ’18 has been named as the eighth head coach of the University’s women’s lacrosse program. A former All-America selection during her undergraduate career with the Ravens, Sweeney returns to the crimson and grey to make her head coaching debut.
Ravens Have Pair of Administrators Selected to DII Mentoring Program

INDIANAPOLIS (May 22, 2020) – Director of Athletics Rachel Burleson and Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator Jeanette McKillop have both been selected to participate in the NCAA Division II Athletic Directors Association Women and Minorities Mentoring Program, as announced recently by the NCAA.

The Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics held the second annual FPYS on Thursday night. A virtual event this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the yearly awards show celebrated the accomplishments of each of the institution's 24 varsity athletic programs.
League-High Nine Ravens Earn Spots on NE10 Academic All-Conference Teams

MANSFIELD, Mass. (April 15, 2020) – Franklin Pierce University has had nine student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the fall season, as announced on Wednesday by the Conference office. Sophomore forward Ryan Gorbett (Cleveland Heights, Ohio) and senior forward James Morrissey (West Haven, Conn.) of the men’s ice hockey team; sophomore forward Izzy Lipinski (Farmington, Conn.) of the women’s basketball team; junior Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France), sophomore Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.), senior Tyler Hayes (Kings Park, N.Y.) and junior Antonio Rua (Burrillville, R.I.) of the men’s track & field team; and sophomore Paola Brena (Queretaro, Mexico) and junior Marisa Carbone (Scarborough, Maine) of the women’s track & field team were all honored by the league. The selected Ravens were among 77 student-athletes across seven sports honored by the NE10. The nine selections for Franklin Pierce were the most of any NE10 institution.

BACK IN THE SADDLE: Swasey Finds Success in First Year Back in Rindge

For new head coach Mark Swasey of the women’s basketball team, this season is not a welcome to Franklin Pierce; it is a welcome back. After an opening for the head coaching position became available, Swasey knew this was an opportunity he could not pass up. The ability to coach again, at a school he enjoys, made it easy to take the job.
UPDATED 3/18: NE10 Suspends Spring Athletic Competition and Championships

MANSFIELD, Mass. (March 12, 2020) -- Per a unanimous vote of the Northeast-10 Conference Council of Presidents, until April 13, the NE10 has suspended spring sports competition, effective on Friday. Per the NE10, the vote was taken "in light of the collective decisions of the majority of NE10 members to have students return home indefinitely and continue their academic work remotely due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19."
BALLIN’ FOR HER COUNTRY: Caban Recounts Experiences with USA Ball Hockey

Being a member of any national sports team is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for any athlete, and it’s an experience Franklin Pierce University freshman Stefanie Caban has already had. The current women’s ice hockey defensemen for the Ravens was invited to be a member of the United States Women’s Ball Hockey team three years ago, and compete alongside other players from across the United States, including those in the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL).

(February 4, 2020) – Franklin Pierce University has had six student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the fall season, as announced on Monday by the Conference office. Junior Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) and sophomore Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) of the men’s cross country team, senior midfielder Niklas Laudahn (Olfen, Germany) and junior forward Yannik Felber (Vallendar, Germany) of the men’s soccer team, senior back Jessica Strassburg (Longmeadow, Mass.) of the field hockey team, and senior forward Veronica Marques (Sao Paulo, Brazil), were all honored by the league. The selected Ravens were among 89 student-athletes across seven sports honored by the NE10.

Ravens Tied for Fourth in NE10 Presidents’ Cup Following Fall Seasons

(December 18, 2019) – Following what was a wildly successful fall season for the Franklin Pierce University athletics teams, the Ravens are tied for fourth in the Northeast-10 Conference Presidents’ Cup standings heading into the semester break, as announced earlier by the league office. Franklin Pierce trails first-place Southern New Hampshire by less than 15 points.
