FPYS 2020 Recap
The Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics held the second annual FPYS on Thursday night. A virtual event this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the yearly awards show celebrated the accomplishments of each of the institution's 24 varsity athletic programs. The event was hosted remotely by a pair of senior student-athletes: Ella Brownson of the women's lacrosse team and Matthew Toombs of the men's ice hockey and men's tennis teams. Following opening remarks from the President of the University, Dr. Kim Mooney '83, and the Director of Athletics, Rachel Burleson, each of the Department's coaches presented their own team-level awards.

- Rowing -- With the rowing team not seeing any competition in 2019-20, head coach Sarah Caruthers used her time to recognize her team as a whole for their hard work and growth shown throughout the year.

Also recognized on Thursday night were the Department's new inductees into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society. In order to be inducted, a student-athlete must be at least a junior in academic standing and hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.4 or higher. This year's inductees were as follows:
