Women’s Lacrosse Puts Seven on IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. (August 9, 2021) -- Seven members of the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team have been named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association’s Division II Academic Honor Roll for the 2021 season, as announced earlier this summer by the IWLCA.

Franklin Pierce Piles up 14 NE10 Academic All-Conference Selections

MANSFIELD, Mass. (June 29, 2021) -- Franklin Pierce University has had 14 student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the spring season, as announced on Tuesday by the league office. The selected Ravens were among 113 student-athletes across 10 sports honored by the NE10.

(May 4, 2021) -- At the end of a 57-point junior campaign, Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah) has been selected as the Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division Attacker of the Year, as the league announced its end-of-season awards on Tuesday afternoon. In addition, Ernst was named to the All-NE10 First Team, while graduate student Sarah Waldrep (North Andover, Mass.) landed on the All-NE10 Second Team.

In addition, senior Casey Butera (West Milford, N.J.) has been selected as NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week.

Women’s Lacrosse Comes up Short in 17-14 Shootout at Saint Anselm in NE10 Divisional Semifinal

MANCHESTER, N.H. (May 3, 2021) -- Junior Megyn Ayotte (Guilford, Vt.) went for career-bests in both goals (5) and points (6) on Monday night, but it would not be enough for the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team in the Northeast Division semifinal round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship at Grappone Stadium. The third-seeded Ravens came up on the short end of a 17-14 decision against the second-seeded and host Hawks of Saint Anselm. Junior Jenna Balboni poured in six goals to lead Saint Anselm to the victory.

Ernst Leads Women’s Lacrosse Past Saint Michael’s, 15-7, in NE10 First Round

RINDGE, N.H. (April 30, 2021) -- It was a tale of two halves on Friday afternoon at Sodexo Field, in the first round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. The Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team did enough in a strong first half to ensure the team would not be bitten by a lackluster second half. The Ravens used a seven-goal afternoon from junior Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah) to pick up the program’s first-ever postseason victory, 15-7, over visiting Saint Michael’s.

(April 28, 2021) – It was an upset win on the road for the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team on Wednesday afternoon, as the Ravens wrapped up the regular season with an 11-9 win over No. 14 nationally ranked Assumption at Brian Kelly Stadium. Junior attack Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah) scored five goals, including the 100th of her career, while senior Casey Butera (West Milford, N.J.) made a career-high 16 saves in net to lead the Ravens to the Northeast-10 Conference victory.

(April 25, 2021) – A five-goal outing from junior Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah) was not enough for the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team at home on Sunday afternoon, as the Ravens dropped a 13-10 decision to No. 14 nationally ranked Assumption at Sodexo Field. The Ravens honored their five-player senior class prior to the start of the Northeast-10 Conference contest.

Women’s Lacrosse Wins Third Straight, 22-12, over SNHU

HOOKSETT, N.H. (April 23, 2021) – In action for the third time in six days, the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team made it three straight wins on Friday afternoon, on the road at Southern New Hampshire. Junior Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah) went off for eight points on seven goals and one assist, while junior Morgan Baxendale (Orchard Park, N.Y.) added six points on five goals and one assist, as the Ravens dealt the host Penmen a 22-12 loss at Penmen Stadium.

COLCHESTER, Vt. (April 20, 2021) – It was not necessarily pretty, but the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team got the job done on the road on Tuesday afternoon. The Ravens got four goals from junior Megyn Ayotte (Guilford, Vt.) and four points (3-1-4) from junior Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah), including the 100th of her career, to hold off a winless Saint Michael’s team and pick up an 11-7 win.

(April 18, 2021) -- Accounting for half of her team’s offensive output, Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah) put the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team on her back on Sunday afternoon at Sodexo Field. The junior’s five-goal, six-point performance (5-1-6) led the way for the Ravens, who also got two goals apiece from juniors Megyn Ayotte (Guilford, Vt.) and Morgan Baxendale (Orchard Park, N.Y.) to squeak out a 10-9 victory over visiting Stonehill in Northeast-10 Conference play. Senior Shannon Hughes and junior Emma Sullivan scored a pair each for Stonehill in defeat.

Women’s Lacrosse Puts up Strong Fight, Edged by No. 14 Bentley, 11-9

(March 31, 2021) -- Junior Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah) went for five points on four goals and an assist on Wednesday night, while junior Morgan Baxendale (Orchard Park, N.Y.) and senior Caroline Lounsbury (Franklin, Mass.) added two goals apiece, but it would not quite be enough for the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team to pull off an upset at Sodexo Field. Instead, No. 14 nationally ranked Bentley got a hat trick from senior Cara McCarthy, along with two goals from senior Julia Glavin, and the Falcons hung on for an 11-9 Northeast-10 Conference victory.

Lounsbury Records 100th Career Point, Women’s Lacrosse Downs Saint Michael’s, 19-8

(March 24, 2021) – Senior attack Caroline Lounsbury (Franklin, Mass.) had a career day on Wednesday afternoon, as she poured in a career-best eight goals and tallied a career-high nine points, including the 100th point of her career, to lead the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team to its second straight win to open the season. Lounsbury matched the opposition’s goal total herself, as the Ravens rolled to a 19-8 win over Saint Michael’s in their home opener at Sodexo Field.
