14 Ravens Selected to the NE10 Spring Academic All-Conference Team

MANSFIELD, Mass. (June 26, 2022) - Fourteen Franklin Pierce student-athletes across seven spring sports pushed the envelope in the classroom, earning NE10 Academic All-Conference accolades per the official announcement by the league office on Wednesday morning. The fourteen Ravens selected to Academic All-Conference were out of a pool of 130 total selectees from the NE10 Conference for the 2022 spring season.
Men’s Golf’s Sosik, Hickey Earn All-NE10 Plaudits

MANSFIELD, Mass. (June 9, 2022) -- Junior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) and sophomore Thomas Hickey (Moultonborough, N.H.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team have both earned All-Northeast-10 Conference accolades, as announced on Thursday afternoon by the league office. Sosik was named to the All-NE10 First Team, while Hickey landed on the Third Team.
Men’s Golf Finishes 18th and NCAA Atlantic/East Regional

VICTOR, N.Y. (May 7, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team closed out its fifth consecutive NCAA Championship appearance on Saturday, with a final-round 307 (+19), to finish 18th out of 20 teams at the Atlantic/East Regional, hosted by Le Moyne, at the par-72, 7083-yard Ravenwood Golf Club. Junior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) put together a final-round 73 (+1) to finish tied-sixth in a 108-golfer field.
Men’s Golf Slides to 18th on Second Day of NCAA Atlantic/East Regional

VICTOR, N.Y. (May 6, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team was one shot better on Friday, at the second round of the NCAA Championship Atlantic/East Regional, but moved backwards anyway, as the Ravens turned in a 305 (+17) and dropped two spots to 18th, in the 20-team field. Individually, junior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) fired a two-over 74 and is tied-10th, in a 108-golfer field, with 18 holes remaining. The Atlantic/East Regional is being hosted by Le Moyne, at the par-72, 7083-yard Ravenwood Golf Club.
Men’s Golf 16th after First Day of NCAA Atlantic/East Regional

VICTOR, N.Y. (May 5, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team opened its fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA Championship on Thursday, with the first of three rounds at the Atlantic/East Regional, hosted by Le Moyne, at the par-72, 7083-yard Ravenwood Golf Club. Junior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) led the way for the Ravens with an even-par 72 in the first round, and is currently tied-11th in a 108-player field. As a team, Franklin Pierce turned in a 306 (+18), and is 16th out of 20 teams through 18 holes.
Men’s Golf Earns Fifth Straight NCAA Championship Appearance

INDIANAPOLIS (April 25, 2022) -- For the fifth straight season, and the sixth time in program history, the Franklin Pierce University men’s golf program is headed to the NCAA Championships. The Ravens were selected as the ninth seed in the East Region, as announced on Friday afternoon by the NCAA, and will travel to Victor, N.Y., for the Atlantic/East Regional. Competition is slated for May 5-7 at Ravenwood Golf Club, and Le Moyne College will serve as the host institution.
Men’s Golf Finishes Second at Yellow Jacket Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (April 19, 2022) -- With the team’s fourth straight solid round on Tuesday, the Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team was able to secure a second-place finish at the Yellow Jacket Invitational, hosted by American International, at the par-72, 6507-yard Ledges Golf Club. After a bit of an up-and-down season, the performance in the regular-season finale is expected to lift the Ravens squarely into the conversation for an NCAA Championship berth. Junior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) was the top-finishing individual for Franklin Pierce, in a tie for third.
Men’s Golf Leads Midway Through Yellow Jacket Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 18, 2022) -- Sophomore Jake Berkio (Ashburnham, Mass.) and junior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) both carded even-par 72s on Monday, and share the first-round lead, as the Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team opened play at the Yellow Jacket Invitational, hosted by American International. Halfway through the two-day event, the Ravens hold a one-shot lead at the top of an 11-team field at the 6507-yard Ledges Golf Club.
Golf’s Prukmathakul, Sosik Pick up NE10 Weekly Awards

(April 14, 2022) -- Coming off a successful weekend for both teams, the Franklin Pierce University golf program collected three of the four available Northeast-10 Conference weekly awards, as announced on Wednesday afternoon by the league office. On the women’s side, freshman Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) was named as both NE10 Player and Rookie of the Week. For the men, junior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) snagged NE10 Player of the Week accolades.
Men’s Golf Takes Seventh in NCAA Regional Preview at Le Moyne

VICTOR, N.Y. (April 11, 2022) -- A young Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team finished off its strongest result of the season on Monday at the Ravenwood Golf Club. The Ravens, whose youth has proved volatile at times, improved on an already-solid Sunday round by nine shots with a Monday 303 (+15), to take seventh place at the NCAA Regional Preview, hosted by Le Moyne. Junior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) did the heavy lifting in the second round, as he fired an even-par 72 to jump up 28 spots into a tie for fourth at Ravenwood’s 6990-yard Burgundy Course.

(April 10, 2022) -- In a 23-team field made up of some of the strongest teams from the Atlantic and East Regions, the Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team is tied-ninth at the midpoint of the NCAA Regional Preview, hosted by Le Moyne at the 6990-yard, par-72 Burgundy Course at the Ravenwood Golf Club. The Ravens were led in Sunday’s first round by a pair of five-over 77s, from sophomore Jake Berkio (Ashburnham, Mass.) and junior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.).
Men’s Golf Takes Fifth at Charger Challenge

EMERSON, N.J. (March 29, 2022) -- For the second straight week, the Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team was in action in New Jersey, at a tournament hosted by Dominican (N.Y.) College. This time around, the Ravens took fifth place in a nine-team field at the Charger Challenge, held at the 6949-yard, par-71 Soldier Hill Golf Course on Tuesday. Sophomore Thomas Hickey (Moultonborough, N.H.) led the way for Franklin Pierce by finishing tied-14th in the 48-golfer tournament.
Men’s Golf Stumbles to Seventh at Final Day of Battle at the Beech

HAWORTH, N.J. (March 22, 2022) -- With just 20 shots covering the top nine teams after Monday’s first round, Tuesday was set up to be volatile at the second and final round of the Battle at the Beech, hosted by Dominican (N.Y.) College at the 6839-yard, par-72 White Beeches Golf & Country Club. The volatility worked in the wrong direction for the Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team, which turned in a second-round 334 (+46) and tumbled from second place to a seventh-place finish.
Men’s Golf Second After First Day of Battle at the Beech

HAWORTH, N.J. (March 21, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team was back in action on Monday, as the Ravens opened the spring portion of their season at the first day of the two-day Battle at the Beech, hosted by Dominican (N.Y.) College, at the par-72, 6839-yard White Beeches Golf & Country Club. Franklin Pierce turned in a first-round 313 (+25) and is second at the midpoint of the tournament, six strokes in back of Post, which carded a 307 (+19).
Men’s Golf T-11th Following First Day of Le Moyne Fall Invitational

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (October 15, 2021) -- Following a disappointing showing at the Eagles Invitational Monday and Tuesday, the Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team shuffled its lineup for the Le Moyne Fall Invitational, which began with first-round play on Friday at the par-71, 6498-yard Bellevue Country Club. Featuring an entirely different five-player cast than earlier in the week, the Ravens turned in an opening 322 (+38) and are tied for 11th, in a 16-team field, at the tournament’s midway point.
Men’s Golf Finishes 10th at Eagles Invitational

WATERTOWN, Conn. (October 12, 2021) -- Looking to make up spots in a crowded midfield, the Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team slid back one spot instead on Tuesday, at the second and final day of the Eagles Invitational, hosted by Post University. The Ravens turned in a final-round 325 (+41) -- the third-highest round of the day -- and finished 10th, out of 14 teams. The Eagles Invitational was held at the par-71, 6638-yard Watertown Golf Club.
