(August 10, 2015) – Quickly becoming a regular fixture with his sport’s national governing body, Franklin Pierce University head baseball coach Jayson King will once again work with USA Baseball this summer. King is scheduled to lead the association’s 17U National Team Development Program on Aug. 17-21 in Orange, Calif.

(August 5, 2015) – Former Franklin Pierce University baseball player Kevin Rivers represented the Freedom Division squad in the Atlantic League All-Star Game, played in July at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Conn. Meanwhile, three current Ravens were members of the West squad at the Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game at Fraser Field in Lynn, Mass: Max DiTondo, Chris Stanford and Kurtis White.

RINDGE, N.H. (July 28, 2015) – Six Franklin Pierce University student-athletes have been named to the spring 2015 Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference Team in their respective sports, as announced earlier this summer by the Conference office. Women’s track & field saw juniors Nadine Hyde (Maple Valley, Wash.) and Jackie Price (Brick, N.J.) selected, along with junior shortstop Justin Brock (Latham, N.Y.) from the baseball team, junior attack Lauren Beville (Jamesville, N.Y.) from the women’s lacrosse team, graduate student outfielder Jamie Wiley (Cape Vincent, N.Y.) from the softball team and sophomore Jon Holmes (Albany, N.Y.) from the men’s track & field team. The selected Ravens were among 93 student-athletes across 10 sports honored by the Northeast-10.

He will report to the Yankees rookie-level, Gulf Coast League affiliate, the GCL Yankees, which play in Tampa, Fla.

Leading the way is the ever-growing Futures Collegiate Baseball League, which will welcome 16 Ravens this summer.

(June 4, 2015) – Senior right-hander Brendan O’Rourke (Shrewsbury, Mass.) has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-America First Team, leading four All-America selections for the Franklin Pierce University baseball team, as announced last week by the ABCA. In addition to O’Rourke, junior right-hander Miles Sheehan (Madison, Conn.) was selected to the All-America Second Team, while sophomore third baseman Jay Jabs (Schwenksville, Pa.) and sophomore designated hitter Chris LaVorgna (North Haven, Conn.) landed on the Third Team.

(May 31, 2015) – The reigning Northeast-10 Conference champion Franklin Pierce University baseball team has had eight players selected to participate in the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association All-Star Game, as announced Thursday by the NEIBA. This year’s game is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 31 at LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Mass. Head coach Jayson King and assistant coach Jeff Pelkey will represent the Ravens’ coaching staff at the event as well.

(May 17, 2015) – The No. 1/3 nationally ranked, top seed and host Franklin Pierce University baseball team -- which bettered program records all season long -- saw its 2015 campaign draw to a close without a regional title on Sunday afternoon, as the Ravens suffered a 5-3 defeat to fourth-seeded Wilmington (Del.) in the semifinal round of the NCAA Championship East Regional at Dr. Arthur and Martha Pappas Field. Senior left-hander Ray Gambone allowed just one earned run and struck out seven over seven innings to lead the way for Wilmington.

(May 15, 2015) – With the season on the line for both sides in an all Granite State matchup, the offense of the No. 1/3 nationally ranked, top seed and host Franklin Pierce University baseball team broke out in a big way on Friday night, with a 13-hit attack en route to an 8-2 win over No. 20 and third-seeded Southern New Hampshire in an elimination contest on the third day of the NCAA Championship East Regional at Dr. Arthur and Martha Pappas Field. Senior catcher Matt Walsh (Plymouth, Mass.) went 2-for-4 and drove in four runs in the win for Franklin Pierce.

(May 14, 2015) – St. Thomas Aquinas junior right-hander Matt Kostalos spun a six-hit shutout and struck out eight on Thursday, while freshman right fielder Giovanni Dingcong and junior catcher Richard Cesca Jr. each had RBI singles as part of a three-run third, as the No. 1/3 nationally ranked, top seed and host Franklin Pierce University baseball team suffered its first loss since March 25, 3-0, at the hands of sixth-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas on the first day of the NCAA Championship East Regional at Dr. Arthur and Martha Pappas Field. Junior center fielder Maxx Sheehan (San Jose, Calif.) went 2-for-3 in defeat for the Ravens, who were shutout for the first time all season.
