White White was one of four Ravens or former Ravens to play in an All-Star Game this summer.

RINDGE, N.H. (August 5, 2015) – Former Franklin Pierce University baseball player Kevin Rivers represented the Freedom Division squad in the Atlantic League All-Star Game, played in July at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Conn. Meanwhile, three current Ravens were members of the West squad at the Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game at Fraser Field in Lynn, Mass: Max DiTondo, Chris Stanford and Kurtis White.

Rivers, who has moved to independent minor league ball after being released by the Seattle Mariners organization last offseason, is currently playing for the Lancaster Barnstormers under former Boston Red Sox manager Butch Hobson and alongside former Major League player Casey Fossum. Through 80 games, Rivers has hit .255/.333/.443 over 305 plate appearances (69-for-271) with 11 doubles, two triples and 12 home runs. He has scored 39 runs, driven in 32, drawn 31 walks and struck out 82 times. He went 0-for-4 with a strikeout and a trio of flyouts in the Atlantic League All-Star Game.

In the Futures League, DiTondo, Stanford and White are all members of the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs, and each made at least one plate appearance in the All-Star Game. White started in left field and went 1-for-2 with a single, a stolen base and a strikeout before being replaced by DiTondo defensively in the bottom of the fifth inning. For his part, DiTondo went 0-for-1 with a groundout. Meanwhile, Stanford entered the game as a pinch hitter in the top of the fifth and took over as designated hitter for the rest of the game. He finished 0-for-2 with a strikeout and a groundout.

All three have seen success with the Dirt Dawgs so far this summer. DiTondo has hit .314/.375/.459 over 159 at-bats (50-for-159) in 44 games, Stanford has hit .267/.388/.416 over 101 at-bats (27-for-101) in 31 games, and White has hit .295/.364/.426 over 122 at-bats (36-for-122) in 33 games. DiTondo has clubbed five home runs, Stanford has drawn 16 walks to bolster his on-base percentage, and White has stolen 15 bases while hitting seven doubles.

The Ravens (48-4) laid claim to their record-tying fifth Northeast-10 title this spring and played host to the NCAA Championship East Regional for the seventh time. Franklin Pierce captured its fourth straight Northeast-10 Northeast Division title along the way.
