Men’s and Women’s Cross Country: Ravens Battle at Harry F. Anderson Invitational

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (09/28/24) - The Franklin Pierce men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Rochester, New York for the Harry F. Anderson Invitational hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College. The women's team would place 15th out of 22 teams. The men's team would finish 6th out of 25 teams.  

PLACE:

  • Women's Team: 15th/22 
  • Men's Team: 6th/25 

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

The men's 8k was first to run today. Ryan Outerbridge (Paget, Bermuda) finished first for the Ravens. Outerbridge finished with a time of 25:31.0. Angel Mendo Alonso (Málaga, Spain)  would be the next Raven to finish, with a time of 26:14.5. Then, Harrison Pelosi would finish with a time of 26:42.4. Sam Fortin (Hebron, Conn.) was right behind Pelosi, with a time of 26:43.7. Logan Mihelich (Northwood, N.H.) would finish with a time of 27:1.6, and Liam Doherty (Methuen, Mass.) would finish next with a time of 27:19.3. John Viens (Berkshire, Vt.) would close out the finishes for points for the Ravens. The team finished with 201 points and 6th overall.  

The women's 5k race then ran. Hailey Desmarais (Assonet, Mass.) finished first for FPU. Desmarais finished with a time of 19:16.1 Then, first year Ellie McOnie-Lownsbrough finished with a time of 20:47.4. Jasmin Baillargeon (South Wheelock, Vt.) would run through the finish line next and finish with a time of 21:04.7. Then, Meghan Sheline finished with a final time of 21:20.5. Isabella Generelli (Worcester, Mass.) would be next for the Ravens finishing with a time of 22:33.3. First year Lauren Muldoon (Hampton, N.H.) would cross the finish line at 22:48.8 and Lillian Byrne would follow at 31:01.6. The team finished with 409 points and 15th overall.  

UP NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE: The teams are home for their next meet on Friday October 11th for the 12th Annual Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup. The meet will take place at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds.
