Franklin Pierce has Eight Earn NE10 Academic All-Conference Selections

MANSFIELD, Mass. (February 17, 2022) -- Franklin Pierce University has had eight student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the fall season, as announced earlier this month by the league office. The selected Ravens were among 90 student-athletes across seven sports honored by the NE10.
Cross Country Programs Collect USTFCCCA Academic Awards

NEW ORLEANS (February 2, 2022) -- Five members of the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team have earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors, as announced late last week by the USTFCCCA. In addition, both the men’s and women’s cross country programs have been honored at the team level by the USTFCCCA All-Academic program.
Women’s Cross Country’s Donnelly Takes 85th at NCAA Championship

SAINT LEO, Fla. (November 20, 2021) -- Graduate student Bethaney Donnelly (Manchester, United Kingdom) became the first runner in the history of the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team to represent the program at the NCAA Championship national meet on Saturday morning. Donnelly turned in a 6k time of 22:02 to take 85th, in a 250-athlete field. The NCAA Championship was hosted by Saint Leo University at Abbey Golf Course.
Donnelly Qualifies for Nationals, Women’s Cross Country 11th at NCAA East Regional

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (November 6, 2021) - For the first time in program history, the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team will be sending a competitor to the NCAA Championship national meet. Graduate student Bethaney Donnelly (Manchester, United Kingdom) came home third (21:36), in a 139-runner 6k race on Saturday, to claim a berth to the national championship and lead the Ravens to an 11th-place finish at the NCAA Championship East Regional, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan.
Cross Country Sweeps NE10 Elite 24 Awards for Third Straight Year

(October 25, 2021) -- Senior Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) and graduate student Alena Masterson (Pelham, N.H.) of the Franklin Pierce University cross country program have both won the Elite 24 Award from the Northeast-10 Conference for the third straight year, as announced by the league at Sunday’s NE10 Championship.

(October 24, 2021) -- Graduate student Bethaney Donnelly (Manchester, United Kingdom) collected All-Northeast-10 Conference First Team honors on Saturday morning, as she finished fourth, to lead the way for the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team at the NE10 Championship, hosted by Saint Anselm. It marked the highest-ever individual finish at the NE10 Championship for the Ravens, who put together a 10th-place finish, at the 14-team event.
Women’s Cross Country Finishes 22nd at Lewis Cross Country

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. (October 9, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team traveled to the greater Chicago area this weekend to compete in the Lewis Crossover, which featured the strongest field the team will face all year, with many nationally ranking teams competing as well. Overall, the Ravens accumulated 672 points to finish 22nd out of 25 total teams.

HOPKINTON, N.H. (October 2, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team hosted its annual home meet at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds on Saturday. Graduate student Bethaney Donnelly (Manchester, United Kingdom) bested all comers at the Bruce Kirsh Cup, and her victory powered the Ravens to a second-place finish out of nine teams on the 5k course.

Sophomore Wondu Summa (Burlington, Vt.) took home NE10 Athlete and Rookie of the Week honors on the men’s side, while graduate student Bethaney Donnelly (Manchester, United Kingdom) was the NE10 Athlete of the Week for the women.
Record Falls as Women’s Cross Country Places 16th at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. (September 18, 2021) -- Graduate student Bethaney Donnelly (Manchester, United Kingdom) set a new program 5k record on Saturday at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, as she led the way for the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team. She set the new time at 17:47 and took third, out of 234 runners. On the team side of things, Franklin Pierce finished 16th, out of 30 squads.

In addition, sophomore Wondu Summa (Burlington, Vt.) from the men’s team landed on the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll.

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (September 11, 2021) -- It was a first-place finish for graduate student Bethaney Donnelly (Manchester, United Kingdom) on Saturday, as she led the way for the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team at the Smith College Invitational. The Ravens finished second out of eight teams, while Donnelly took the win in a field of 68 runners.
Women’s Cross Country Opens Season at Mount St. Mary’s Duals

EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 3, 2021) -- Graduate student Bethaney Donnelly (Manchester, United Kingdom) was the first Raven to cross the line at the Mount St. Mary’s 5k Duals on Friday, when she finished the race in 19:10 to claim seventh place, in the 65-runner field. The Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team placed seventh out of seven teams at the waterlogged season opener, though five of the six teams in front of the Ravens represented Division I institutions. Despite the “Duals” name, the meet was scored via traditional collegiate cross country scoring rules, rather than via dual-meet rules.
Cross Country Programs Regionally Ranked Ahead of Season Opener

NEW ORLEANS (September 2, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University cross country program has had both its men’s and women’s teams earn regional rankings from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) ahead of the upcoming season, which begins Friday. The men occupy the fifth spot in the East Region, while the women are ninth.
