WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (March 21, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University men's tennis team was defeated on the road in non-conference play on Wednesday, 8-1, at Warner.

With the loss, Franklin Pierce falls to 6-6, while Warner improves to 5-5.

Franklin Pierce's one point on Wednesday came at fourth singles, courtesy of junior Andrew Schadt (Tolland, Conn.). He picked up a straight-set win over Warner freshman Bruno Carvalho, 6-4, 6-3.

The Ravens came closest to procuring a second point earlier in the day, at second doubles. Schadt and junior James Bisazza (West Barnstable, Mass.) took things all the way to a tiebreaker, but suffered a 9-8 (5) defeat at the hands of Carvalho and freshman Vitor Figueiredo Wagner.

The Royals were led by freshman Mathues Aquino, who was victorious at both first doubles and first singles on Wednesday.

The Ravens return to the court on Sunday, March 25, when they return home to host Le Moyne in a Northeast-10 Conference match at 11 a.m.
