Five Ravens Earn Spots on NE10 Academic All-Conference Teams

RINDGE, N.H. (March 1, 2018) – Franklin Pierce University has had five student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the fall season, as announced on Thursday by the Conference office. Senior forward Carly Canavan (Kingston, N.Y.) and junior midfielder Raegan Moulton (Baldwinville, Mass.) of the field hockey team, senior back Hamish Cadigan (Christchurch, New Zealand) and sophomore midfielder Noam Kolakofsky (Liman, Israel) of the men’s soccer team, and senior goalkeeper Casey Cook (Beverly, Mass.) of the women’s soccer team, were all honored by the league. The selected Ravens were among 84 student-athletes across seven sports honored by the Northeast-10.
FINDING HIS WAY: Poon-Lewis Finds Success Far From Home

For Jadel Poon-Lewis, the path to college soccer wasn’t as smooth as one would think. A phenom in his freshman season, Poon-Lewis took Franklin Pierce by storm. He started in all 17 games for the Ravens, winning 11 while boasting a 1.31 goals-against average and three shutouts. Poon-Lewis was named to the Northeast-10 Conference’s All-Rookie Team at the end of last season. However, for the Trinidad and Tobago native, playing at Franklin Pierce wasn’t a part of his initial plan. Not even close.
Kolakofsky Named to Conference Second Team, Felber to All-Rookie Squad

Felber Clams Weekly Top Rookie Honor

Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer freshman forward Yannik Felber (Koblenz, Germany) has been chosen as the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week it was announced Monday afternoon by the league office. This is the third time this season Felber has notched top rookie honors.

Adelphi University men’s soccer sophomore forward Taylor Kaczynski tallied his third goal of the season while Ofek Pinto added an insurance marker as the no. 14 nationally-ranked Panthers came into Sodexo Field and defeated the Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team 2-0 Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action. With the victory, the Panthers increase their record to 11-1-2, 9-1-1 NE10 while the Ravens slide to 6-5-2 overall and 4-5-2 NE10.

The Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team controlled the pace of the game and outshot the no. 9 nationally-ranked Merrimack College Warriors, but the hosts shutout the Ravens 1-0 Wednesday evening in Northeast-10 Conference action at Martone-Mejail Field. With the win, the Warriors jump to 12-1-1 overall and remain undefeated in league play at 9-0-1 while the Crimson and Grey drop to 6-4-2 and 4-4-2 NE10.

The Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer team and Northeast-10 Conference opponent Bentley University needed two overtimes to find a winner, but it was all for naught as the teams concluded 110 minutes in a 1-1 tie Saturday afternoon in Waltham, Mass. The tie sends Bentley to 0-8-2, 0-5-2 NE10 and Franklin Pierce to 5-2-2, 3-2-2 NE10. Since starting the season 5-0-0, the Ravens have gone 0-2-2 over their last four contests.
