Bio

Devin Callahan enters his third season as the head coach with the Franklin Pierce University men's lacrosse program in 2023-24.

(2022-2023) During his second year as head coach in Rindge, Callahan and the team went 5-9 overall and 2-8 in the Northeast-10 Conference. He helped coach senior midfielder Owen McCormack (Hampstead, NH) to his 100th career point against Southern New Hampshire University. Following the end of the season, two players on his squad received honors. Senior defenseman Eric Bua Jr. (Revere, Mass.) made the Northeast-10 All Conference Third Team and also landed his name on the NEILA All-New England Second Team along with senior midfielder Sean Daly (Kingston, Mass.) who also made the list. Off the field, Callahan's team boasted a solid effort in the classroom with junior Andy DeMattio (North Attleboro, Mass.) making the NE10 Spring Academic All-Conference list, along with 15 lacrosse players who made the NE10 Academic Honor Roll for spring of 2023. 

(2021-22) In his first season at the helm for Franklin Pierce, Callahan led men's lacrosse to their best start in program history, with the Ravens going 6-1 through their first seven games of the spring campaign. Through the conclusion of the season the team finished with a 6-7 overall record, while going 3-7 overall within Northeast-10 Conference competition.  

Callahan began his time with Franklin Pierce during the 2020-21 season, when he served as the assistant coach for the program. As an assistant in the 2021 spring season, he helped coach the Ravens to a 5-7 overall record, as well as a first round victory in the NE10 Championship playoffs. 

It is the second career collegiate coaching stop for Callahan, who spent the previous four seasons as an assistant coach at the Division III level with his alma mater, Eastern Connecticut State, in Willimantic, Conn. Callahan also spent a short stint as interim head coach during his time with the Warriors.

As an undergratuate, Callahan was a four-year letterwinner at ECSU, and appeared in 34 games over the course of his career in the Frog City. His career was highlighted by a pair of NCAA Championship appearances following Little East Conference titles in 2012 and 2013. The Warriors played in the Little East championship game in each of his four years on the team.

Originally from Kingstown, R.I., Callahan is a graudate of Eastern Connecticut State, with a bachelor's degree in sport and leisure management. He is also earned a master's degree in Business Administration and Leadership from Franklin Pierce.
