RINDGE, N.H. (May 4, 2017) – Franklin Pierce University men's lacrosse freshman defender Alex Caskie (Walpole, Mass.) has been named to the 2017 Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie Team it was announced Thursday morning by the league offices.

Caskie was one of 15 players selected to the All-Rookie Squad and was the only Raven chosen for yearly honors. He appeared in 12 games including 12 starts for the Crimson and Grey and ranked third on the team in caused turnovers (9) and fourth in groundballs (26) which were high-water marks for Raven freshmen.

In four games this year, he gobbled up three or more groundballs including a career-high five groundball effort in the season opening 12-5 win at Post on March 5th. He also caused two turnovers across three home games versus Georgian Court (3/7), #17 Saint Anselm (3/28) and Saint Rose (4/22).  

The Ravens finished the year at 4-9 overall and 2-9 in the NE10.
