HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The 1st period was a stalemate between both teams where scoring chances were hard to come by. Ravens sophomore goaltender Riley Mastowksi (Jamestown, Pa.) stood tall stopping all 9 shots he faced. The score remained 0-0 entering the 2nd period.
- The Eagles opened the scoring 5:45 into the 2nd period on the power play as Bradley McMains cleaned up a rebound in the slot amid traffic and tucked it in to take the 1-0 lead.
- The Ravens responded 15:20 into the frame to tie the score 1-1. Freshman forward Thomas Perivolotis (Littleton, Mass.) dished a pass to freshman forward Mario Paganini (Harrison, N.Y.) who cut right to the goal and slipped it in the back of the cage. The game was tied 1-1 heading into the 3rd period.
- It didn't take long for the Eagles to regain the lead in the 3rd period. Max Beualac cleaned up some loose change in front to put the Eagles in front 2-1, a lead they would not relinquish, securing the 2-1 road victory.
BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS:
- The Eagles outshot the Ravens 39-26.
- The Ravens went 0-5 on the power play. The Eagles went 1-8.
- Riley Mastowksi suffered the loss in net for the Ravens but recorded an impressive 37 saves in net.
