KEENE, N.H. (2/2/25) – The Franklin Pierce Men's Ice Hockey team lost to their geographic rival, Keene State, 7-1 on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Owls opened the scoring early, taking the lead in the first minute of the game. Keene State's Marcus Chrisafideis lit the lamp for the first of five goals in the opening period for the Owls. A few minutes later, Thor Hansen scored his first and then his second on the power play.
- The Ravens did respond with a goal off the stick of freshman winger Mario Paganini (Harrison, NY) to make it 3-1. The Owls then continued where they left off with Michael Boschetto and Sean Hoffman burying the puck in the back of the net. The score remained 5-1 into the start of the third period.
- In the third, the Owls found the net two more times. Marcus Chrisafideis grabbed his second goal of the night on the power play and Sean Gray grabbed the seventh goal for the Owls, securing a dominate win.
BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS
- The Ravens were heavily outshot throughout the game. The Owls fired 48 shots on net to the Ravens' 17.
- The Owls went 3 for 6 on the power play, while the Ravens came up empty-handed on both 5-on-4 opportunities.
- The Owls also won the faceoff battle, winning 41 draws to the Ravens' 30.
