(February 24, 2012) – Sophomore forward Brandon Dennis (Williamsport, Md.) of the Franklin Pierce University men's ice hockey team has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie Team, as announced Friday by the Conference office. He was a unanimous selection by the Northeast-10 coaches.
After sitting out last season, Dennis was among the most productive forwards in the league during his first collegiate season. He tied for the Northeast-10 lead in power-play goals (5), tied for sixth in power-play points (9) and tied for seventh in both points (22) and assists (15).
While playing in all 22 games, Dennis led the Ravens in both assists and points, while tying for the team lead in goals (7). He was the only player to reach double digits in assists or to tally 20 points, and he also led the club in power-play goals. Dennis received recognition for his play throughout the season, as he was named Northeast-10 Player of the Week for the week ending on Jan. 15 and was twice named to the Weekly Honor Roll (Feb. 19 and Nov. 20).
