RINDGE, N.H. (February 15,
2010) – Freshman forward Jonathan Schanke
(Wallingford, Conn.) of the Franklin Pierce University ice
hockey team has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly
Honor Roll for the week ending on Feb. 14, as announced Monday by
the conference office.
Schanke assisted on both Franklin Pierce goals in the Ravens’
5-2 loss at Assumption on Saturday night.
On the season, Schanke ranks fourth on the team, and second among
freshmen, with 12 points on five goals and seven assists, while
playing in only 14 of Franklin Pierce’s 23 games. Two of his
goals have come on the power play and he is one of six Ravens to
tally double-digit points this season.
The Ravens (6-14-2, 3-6-1 Northeast-10) return to the ice on
Saturday, Feb. 20, when they return home to wrap up the regular
season and host Stonehill in a Northeast-10 Conference contest.
Faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at The Winchendon School Ice Arena
in Winchendon, Mass. Franklin Pierce will honor its five senior
prior to the start of the game.
