MANCHESTER, N.H. (Nov. 4, 2004) – The Franklin Pierce volleyball team sustained a 3-1 (27-30, 30-28, 30-23, 30-24) loss to host Saint Anselm College in non-conference action tonight. The Ravens took the first game before dropping three straight to the Hawks in their season finale. With the loss, Franklin Pierce concluded its season with an overall record of 11-13 (6-8 NE-10). Saint Anselm ended its regular season with a record of 15-22 (7-7 NE-10).

(Nov. 2, 2004) – The Franklin Pierce volleyball team saw its postseason aspirations come to an end, as visiting UMass Lowell came up with a 3-1 (30-26, 25-30, 30-16, 30-13) Northeast-10 Conference victory tonight. After dropping the opening game, the Ravens fought back to knot the match at one before succumbing to an overpowering River Hawks attack. Franklin Pierce, who was mathematically eliminated from conference tournament contention, dropped to 11-12 (6-8 NE-10) with the loss. UMass Lowell improved its record to 13-8 (10-2 NE-10) with the win.

(Oct. 29, 2004) – The Franklin Pierce volleyball team defeated neighboring Keene State College 3-0 (30-19, 30-10, 30-18) in non-conference competition this evening at the Northfields Activity Center. With the victory, the Ravens reached .500 for the first time since they defeated Southern New Hampshire in their second match of the season. Their overall record now stands at 11-11. The Owls dropped to 9-13 overall following the loss.

NEW HAVEN Conn. (Oct. 28, 2004) – The Franklin Pierce volleyball team defeated host Southern Connecticut State University 3-0 (30-20, 30-25, 30-20) in Northeast-10 Conference competition tonight. The Ravens took three straight games to win their tenth match of the season. Their record now stands at 10-11 overall and 6-7 in league play. With a victory over neighboring Keene State tomorrow, the Ravens will reach .500 for the first time since they defeated Southern New Hampshire in their second match of the season. Following the loss, the Owls dropped to 2-16 overall and 0-11 in the conference.

RINDGE, N.H. (October 26, 2004) - Franklin Pierce volleyball team member Briana Bates (Belmont, N.H./Endicott College) has earned a spot on the 2004 Northeast-10 All-Academic Second Team. The teams are selected by the Sports Information Directors of the Northeast-10. Candidates are chosen based on their performances both on and off the court. She was one of just twelve student-athletes selected out of the 22 who were nominated. The Franklin Pierce senior has earned a 3.49 cumulative grade point average while majoring in finance with an accounting minor.

After dropping the first set, the Ravens fought back to take the next three en route to their ninth victory of the season. With the win, Franklin Pierce improves its overall record to 9-11. Colby-Sawyer drops to 16-5 with the loss.

After dropping the first game, the Ravens took control of the match by winning the second and third games. The visiting Eagles regained momentum by winning the fourth game. They then won the fifth and deciding game to take the match. With the win, Teikyo Post improves its overall record to 20-9. Franklin Pierce drops to 8-11 overall.

After the Ravens won the first two games of the match, Pace battled back to force a fifth game. Franklin Pierce proved to be too much for the Setters, as they held on to win the deciding game.
