Before Franklin Pierce: Stephen played lacrosse in high school...During his sophomore season, he was the second-leading goal scorer on the team...In his junior year, he was the leading goal scorer, won the coaches award for the attack position and was a Second-Team All-Conference selection...In his final campaign, he was the team-leading scorer, the Team MVP, a First Team All-Conference choice, the leading goal scorer in the conference, second place in total points in the north shore of Massachusetts and was fifth on the All-Time Points list in high school.
