RINDGE, N.H. (10/28/2023) – Franklin Pierce women's soccer grabbed its third shutout of the season Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 win over the Greyhounds of Assumption University.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Ravens started and ended the game scoring in the first two and final two minutes of the game.
  • The first goal came 1:15 into the first half, scored by Johanne Guldbaek-Pedersen assisted by Ruby Conroy.  
  • With under two minutes left in the game, Claduia Peirce grabbed the games second goal, assisted by Gianna DeRose.
  • For Guldbaek-Pedersen, it was her third goal of the season. As for Peirce, her goal marked the 5th of the season.
  • Standing strong in net, Emilie Fox made five saves on five shots, securing the shutout.

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS:

  • Though they drew a blank on the score board, the Greyhounds outshot the Ravens 8 to 5.
  • Corner kicks for the Ravens opened up plenty of offensive opportunities as the team tallied 7 compared to Assumption's single corner.

NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens will close out their regular season schedule on Wednesday during an away game at AIC at 7:00 PM.
