Northeast-10 All-Conference Teams

RINDGE, N.H. (November 3, 2016) – Sophomore forward Nathalia Maria da Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil) of the Franklin Pierce University women's soccer team has been named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Second Team, as announced on Friday by the Conference office. She leads three Ravens honorees, as senior forward Madison Finlay (Plymouth, Mass.) landed on the All-Northeast-10 Third Team, and freshman forward Sophie Cousineau (Milton, Mass.) was selected to the All-Rookie Team.

For da Silva, it marks the second straight All-Conference selection to start her career, as she landed on the All-Northeast-10 Second Team and the All-Rookie Team as a freshman a year ago. This fall, she led the Ravens in scoring with four goals and six assists for 14 points, which is currently tied for 16th in the league. She went 2-for-2 in penalty-kick attempts and attempted 68 shots along the way, including 24 shots on goal.

As for Finlay, it is her first career All-Conference nod, though she was named to the All-Rookie Team as a freshman in 2013. This season, she finished second to da Silva on the team in scoring, with six goals and one assist for 13 points, good for a tie for 19th in the Northeast-10. Finlay netted one game-winning goal and recorded 47 shots attempts, including 21 shots on goal.

Cousineau jumped onto the scene in a hurry in her debut campaign, as she struck for three goals over her first three collegiate games. She wound up third on the team in scoring, tallying five goals and two assists for 12 points, which is tied for 24th in the Conference. Cousineau scored a pair of game-winning goals on the season and attempted 21 shots, of which 11 were on goal.

Franklin Pierce finished the 2016 campaign with a 7-7-2 record, which included a 5-7-2 mark in Northeast-10 play.
