Women's Golf Claims 12th at the NCAA DII East Regional Tournament

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (5/10/23) - The Franklin Pierce University women's golf team put the finishing touches on the 2022-23 season at the NCAA Division II East Regional Tournament, finishing 12th overall with a three-round team card of +90 (954). From the opening day of the event, the Ravens maintained their position of 12th overall the entire way through.

The event was held at the par-72, 6137-yard Panther Creek Golf Club in Springfield, Illinois. 

For the second straight year, sophomore Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) led the charge as the top individual finisher for the Ravens, shooting matching 74 (+2) scores in the first two rounds of play to claim 17th overall, scoring a card of 226 (74-74-78) altogether. Fellow sophomore Phisonlaya Ruayruen (Chiangmai, Thailand) was next in line for Pierce, claiming 55th individually with a score of 241 (80-80-81).

Junior Alia Godek (Feeding Hills, Mass.) jumped up seven positions in the individual leaderboards following round three, and drew even with senior teammate Micaela Leandro (Harlingen, Texas) as both players finished tied for 59th with 29-over par scores. For both players, it was their third appearance in the regional tournament, with Leandro improving upon her previous score from 2021-22 trip by 11 strokes.

Freshman standout Lorelai Flanagan (Arlington, Mass.) rounded-out the list of Raven competitors, finishing 75th of 81 players with a card of 252 (83-85-84) in her first trip to the regional stage.
