CANDIA, N.H. (4/18/23) – The Franklin Pierce women's golf team shot a 634 (321-313) team card over two rounds at the Candia Woods Golf Links to win the Saint Anselm College Hawk Invitational, defeating second-place finisher Merrimack by a whopping 29-strokes. 

For Pierce, it's the team's fifth tournament win during the 2022-23 season.

At the par-71, 5,800-yard course, sophomore Phisonlaya Ruayruen (Chiangmai, Thailand) finished 10-over par with a combined score of 152 (77-75) to lead the way for the Ravens, winning the tournament as the top individual finisher. For Ruayruen, it was her third top-finish in a tournament this season, and her first since the Franklin Pierce Invitational on September 25^th and 26^th. Not far behind was fellow sophomore Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand), who finished in 2^nd after climbing four positions over the final 18 holes with a card of 154 (82-72). Seniors Alia Godek (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and Micaela Leandro (Harlingen, Texas) rounded out the list of top-ten finishers for the Pierce women, as Godek finished comfortably in 7^th-overall following a 164 (83-81) performance, and Leandro tied-for-8^th with a 166 (79-87) card.
