Sprint Football Gives Spirited Effort in Tough 29-21 Loss to Post

ASHBURNHAM, Mass. (November 3, 2012) -- The Franklin Pierce University sprint football team concluded its inaugural season on Saturday night with a solid effort but a tough 29-21 loss to Post University at Arthur Hurd Field in Ashburnham, Mass. The Ravens closed the season with a 1-4 record, while Post won its fifth straight to go to 5-2 on the year.

MANSFIELD, Pa. (October 27, 2012) -- The Franklin Pierce University sprint football team watched as Mansfield scored 25 unanswered points in the second half to pull out a 32-14 win on Saturday at Van Norman Field in Mansfield, Pa. The Ravens fell to 1-3, while the Mounties improved to 2-4.

PRINCETON, N.J. (October 12, 2012) -- Freshman defensive lineman Will Ellery (Haddam, Conn.) returned a third quarter interception 44 yards for a touchdown Friday night to lift the Franklin Pierce University sprint football team a 21-14 triumph over Princeton University at Princeton Stadium. The Ravens improved to 1-2 and won for the first time in program history (in just their third game all-time), while the Tigers dipped to 0-5 on the season.

(September 30, 2012) -- For the second week in a row, a young Franklin Pierce University sprint football team battled hard against a more experienced Collegiate Sprint Football League foe. And for the second week in a row, the Ravens lost in the final stages of a game, this time in the closing seconds of a tough 24-20 setback to Pennsylvania on Sunday at Arthur Hurd Field in Ashburnham, Mass. Franklin Pierce dipped to 0-2, while Penn improved to 1-1.
