MANSFIELD, Mass. (October 5, 2021) -- Sophomore Thomas Darrah (Thetford, Vt.) of the Franklin Pierce University men's cross country team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week, for the week ending on Oct. 3, as announced on Tuesday by the league office. In addition, senior Will Aylward (Peabody, Mass.) and graduate student Bethaney Donnelly (Manchester, United Kingdom) were named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll.

Darrah chalks up his first career NE10 weekly award after a second-place finish on Saturday at Franklin Pierce's home meet, the Bruce Kirsh Cup. Darrah and his 8k time of 25:31 helped lead the Ravens to victory at the meet.

For their parts, Aylward and Donnelly both came away winners on Saturday. Aylward turned in an 8k time of 25:17 to take first in the men's race, while Donnelly clocked in at 18:04 over 5k to claim the top spot in the women's race. Donnelly's performance paced the Ravens to a second-place team finish on the women's side.

Franklin Pierce hits the road this week, as the Ravens travel to Romeoville, Ill., for the Lewis University Crossover.
