GREENWOOD, Ind. (June 22, 2022) -- Graduate student Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) of the Franklin Pierce University cross country and track & field program has earned Academic All-America First Team honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), as announced on Wednesday afternoon.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – An official announcement made by the Northeast-10 Conference on Thursday, June 2nd unveiled a pair of Franklin Pierce student athletes as finalists for yearly distinguished honors, presented to both male and female graduating student-athletes.

GREENWOOD, Ind. (May 27, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University cross country and track & field program has had six student-athletes earn Academic All-District honors from the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), as announced on Thursday. Senior Will Aylward (Peabody, Mass.), junior Connor Everidge (Baldwinville, Mass.), graduate student Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) and sophomore Ryan Walker (Seabrook, N.H.) of the men’s team, as well as seniors Paola Brena (Queretaro, Mexico) and Stephanie Phoenix (Wallingford, Conn.) of the women’s team, were all named to the Academic All-District I First Team. As a result of their selection, all six will advance to the Academic All-America ballot.

Franklin Pierce has Eight Earn NE10 Academic All-Conference Selections

(February 17, 2022) -- Franklin Pierce University has had eight student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the fall season, as announced earlier this month by the league office. The selected Ravens were among 90 student-athletes across seven sports honored by the NE10.

NEW ORLEANS (February 2, 2022) -- Five members of the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team have earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors, as announced late last week by the USTFCCCA. In addition, both the men’s and women’s cross country programs have been honored at the team level by the USTFCCCA All-Academic program.

Men’s Cross Country Takes Fifth at NCAA Championship East Regional

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (November 6, 2021) -- Three members of the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team earned All-Region honors on Saturday afternoon, to lead the Ravens to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championship East Regional, hosted by Roberts Wesleyan. Sophomore Wondu Summa (Burlington, Vt.) led a trio of Vermont-bred Ravens in the top-25, with a 12th-place finish in the 143-runner field.

(October 25, 2021) -- Senior Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) and graduate student Alena Masterson (Pelham, N.H.) of the Franklin Pierce University cross country program have both won the Elite 24 Award from the Northeast-10 Conference for the third straight year, as announced by the league at Sunday’s NE10 Championship.

MANCHESTER, N.H. (October 24, 2021) -- Sophomore Wondu Summa (Burlington, Vt.) and senior Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team both earned All-Northeast-10 Conference honors on Saturday afternoon, to lead the Ravens to a fourth-place finish, out of 14 teams, at the NE10 Championship, hosted by Saint Anselm. Summa took third to land on the All-NE10 First Team, while Fenoff collected Third Team honors by taking 20th. Summa’s third marked the program’s highest-ever individual finish at the NE10 Championship.

Men’s Cross Country Places 20th at Lewis Crossover

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. (October 9, 2021) - The Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team traveled to the greater Chicago area this weekend to compete in the Lewis Crossover. The event was replete with nationally ranked teams and marked the strongest field the Ravens will face all season. Overall, the team accumulated 551 points to finish 20th out of 24 total teams.

(October 5, 2021) -- Sophomore Thomas Darrah (Thetford, Vt.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week, for the week ending on Oct. 3, as announced on Tuesday by the league office. In addition, senior Will Aylward (Peabody, Mass.) and graduate student Bethaney Donnelly (Manchester, United Kingdom) were named to the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll.

HOPKINTON, N.H. (October 2, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University Men’s Cross Country team hosted the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds on Saturday, and a successful hosting stint it was. Not only did the Ravens win the race and beat out eight other teams on the 8k course, but senior Will Aylward (Peabody, Mass.) took the meet victory on the individual front as well.

(September 21, 2021) -- Two members of the Franklin Pierce University cross country program have combined to collect three weekly Northeast-10 Conference awards, for the week ending on Sept. 19, as announced on Tuesday by the league office. Sophomore Wondu Summa (Burlington, Vt.) took home NE10 Athlete and Rookie of the Week honors on the men’s side, while graduate student Bethaney Donnelly (Manchester, United Kingdom) was the NE10 Athlete of the Week for the women.

Summa Sets Program Record, Men’s Cross Country Fourth at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. (September 18, 2021) -- Sophomore Wondu Summa (Burlington, Vt.) set a new program five-mile record on Saturday at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, as he led the way for the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team. He ran a 24:42 time to take eighth place, out of 256 runners, and led the Ravens to an impressive fourth-place finish, out of 33 teams.

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (September 11, 2021) -- Saturday went in the books as a success for the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team. In a dominant performance, the Ravens had nine of the top 10 finishers to roll to a meet victory at the Smith College Invitational. Franklin Pierce bettered eight other teams, while sophomore Wondu Summa (Burlington, Vt.) finished in front of 71 other runners, as the individual winner.

Summa Claims Victory, Men’s Cross Country Third at Mount St. Mary’s Duals

EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 3, 2021) -- Sophomore Wondu Summa (Burlington, Vt.) flew past all the other competitors at the Mount St. Mary’s 5k Duals on Friday, to take first place and lead the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team to a third-place finish. Summa finished the 5k in 15:52 to pace the 78-runner field, while the Ravens took third out of six teams in the Old Line State. Despite the “Duals” name, the meet was scored via traditional collegiate cross country scoring rules, rather than via dual-meet rules.

Cross Country Programs Regionally Ranked Ahead of Season Opener

NEW ORLEANS (September 2, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University cross country program has had both its men’s and women’s teams earn regional rankings from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) ahead of the upcoming season, which begins Friday. The men occupy the fifth spot in the East Region, while the women are ninth.
