Men’s Cross Country Picked Second in Northeast-10 Coaches’ Poll

Ravens Men's Cross Country The Ravens are set to host Sunday's Northeast-10 Championship.

RINDGE, N.H. (November 6, 2014) – The Franklin Pierce University men's cross country team has been picked to finish second in the Northeast-10 Conference Coaches' Poll, as announced Thursday morning by the Conference Office The Ravens collected four of 15 available first-place votes and 181 points in the 15-team poll.

The poll, which is voted on by head men's cross country coaches from across the Conference, comes in advance of Sunday's Northeast-10 Championship, which will be hosted by Franklin Pierce. The men's race is slated to begin at 10 a.m.

The Ravens are picked to finish second after placing second to Stonehill at last year's Northeast-10 Championship. This time around, Franklin Pierce was picked behind only American International, which garnered the other 11 first-place votes and 193 points to place as the pre-Championship favorite. Behind the Ravens, Stonehill (169 points), Bentley (160) and Adelphi (141) were picked third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Merrimack (140), Southern New Hampshire (106), Assumption (99), Southern Connecticut State (89) and Saint Rose (86) made up the next five, in that order. Rounding out the poll were Saint Michael's (53) in 11th, Le Moyne (51) in 12th, New Haven (50) and Saint Anselm (50) tied in 13th, and Pace (16) in 15th.
