Ham was the highest collegiate finisher at this past Saturday's race

RINDGE, N.H. (October 1, 2012) -- Franklin Pierce University standout Colton Ham (Webster, N.H.) on Monday was named the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week for his outstanding performance at this past Saturday's Pop Crowell Invitational. It marked the second weekly rookie award for Ham this season.

Ham had an impressive day at the Crowell in Wenham, Mass., as he finished second out of 275 harriers in the five-mile race in a time of 26:00.2. He was the highest collegiate finisher in the race, which marked just the fourth race in his Franklin Pierce career.

Ham also helped the Ravens finish third out of 25 teams in the field, as the placing was one of the highest in program history.

Franklin Pierce returns to action Sunday when the Ravens compete in the New England Championships at 12 p.m. in Westfield, Mass.
