Maniatis Garners NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week Honor; Ferrando Felis Lands on Weekly Honor Roll

MANSFIELD, Mass. (September 20, 2021) – Junior Kosta Maniatis (Montreal, Quebec) has earned Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week honor for his performances at Post and against Southern New Hampshire last week. In addition, graduate student Carlos Ferrando Felis (Tavernes de la Valldigna, Spain) was named to the Weekly Honor Roll.

Maniatis collects his second NE10 honor in his career, but it marks his first Goalkeeper of the Week accolade, while Ferrando Felis tabs his first NE10 weekly award.

Maniatis and the Ravens are coming off a successful 2-0 week. Franklin Pierce travelled to Post last Tuesday, September 14, where the Montreal, Quebec, native made one save on two shots faced, and allowed the only goal surrendered by the team all season. Last Saturday, the Crimson and Grey took on NE10 foe SNHU, as Maniatis recorded his third shutout of the year, making a stopping the lone shot on target for SNHU. Overall, the junior goalkeeper registered a .667 save percentage and a .500 goals against average (GAA).

Ferrando Felis tallied four points on two goals and totaled three shots, including two on target last week. The Tavernes de la Valldigna, Spain, native netted one goal each in the Ravens' two contests, including the game-winning goal against SNHU. He recorded two shots on the road against the Eagles, with one on goal, and had one shot that was on net against the Penman.

The Ravens take a trip to Colchester, Vt., as they prepare for a conference matchup with the Saint Michael's Purple Knights on Wednesday, September 22. The contest will begin at 3 p.m.
