Shortt Named to Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll

Shortt landed on the Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll after scoring
three times last week.RINDGE, N.H. (February 7, 2012) – Senior forward Pat Shortt (New Haven, Conn.) of the Franklin Pierce University men's ice hockey team have been named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Feb. 5, as announced Monday by the Conference office.
The Ravens went 1-1-0 last week, with Shortt scoring three times, including twice shorthanded, along the way. On Tuesday at Saint Michael's, he opened the scoring with a first-period, shorthanded goal. In Saturday's win over Stonehill, he bookended the scoring with a first-period, shorthanded tally and a third-period, empty-net goal. Shortt now has six career shorthanded goals, extending a program record.
It is the first Weekly Honor Roll selection of the season for Shortt, and the second of his career.
The Ravens return to the ice on Wednesday, Feb. 8, when they travel to Assumption for a Northeast-10 Conference contest. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 5:35 p.m. at Buffone Rink in Worcester, Mass. Franklin Pierce next plays at home on Saturday, Feb. 18 against Southern New Hampshire at 7:30 p.m.
