RINDGE, N.H. (October 7, 2014)– Freshman John Abbott (Higganum, Conn.) of the Franklin Pierce men’s golf team was named Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week as announced by the Conference office on Tuesday.

Abbott made a splash this weekend, collecting a second place finish at the Southern New Hampshire Invitational held at the Concord Country Club in Concord, N.H. He shot a 72/73/145 over the weekend to give himself the highest finishing Raven on the leaderboard, as well as the highest finishing freshman out of the field. As of late, Abbott has posted the most consistent rounds of any Raven as well.

The Ravens next action on the links will be on Friday, October 10th at Pinehaven Country Club in Guilderland, N.Y. for the Saint Rose Shootout.
