Cross Country/Track & Field's Riley Fenoff, Men's Soccer's Carlos Ferrando Felis Tabbed as NE10 Yearly Honors Finalists

MANSFIELD, Mass. – An official announcement made by the Northeast-10 Conference on Thursday, June 2nd unveiled a pair of Franklin Pierce student athletes as finalists for yearly distinguished honors, presented to both male and female graduating student-athletes.

Out of three finalists for each category, senior Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.), who represented both cross country and track & field, was named a finalist for the NE10's "Man of the Year" award. Alongside him is men's soccer graduate Carlos Ferrando Felis (Tavernes de la Valldigna, Spain), who was tabbed as a finalist for "Male Scholar Athlete of the Year" for the conference.

Fenoff is joined by fellow "Man of the Year" finalists Joe Fiorino (SNHU) and Devan Sheth (Assumption), with Andrew Brazicki (Bentley) and Tobias Liska (Assumption) joining Ferrando Felis for "Male Scholar Athlete of the Year"

Both awards are given to a graduating student-athlete who has exhausted their athletic eligibility and has exhibited sustained excellence within athletic competition, and the classroom. Included in the criteria for "Man or Woman of the Year" is a student-athlete's efforts within the community, in addition to their performance in competition as well as the classroom. To be nominated for the Scholar Athlete of the Year, a student-athlete must have achieved a final cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 while being enrolled in a full-time academic course load.

The yearly finalists are determined based on a vote by athletic administrators and faculty athletic representatives from around the NE10. The official winner of each award will be announced by the conference on Thursday, June 9th!
