D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award

CLEVELAND (August 18, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics has had 144 student-athletes earn the Division 2 Athletic Directors Association’s (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Award for the 2020-21 academic year, as announced earlier this month.

In its 14th year, the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award program recognizes student-athletes who have completed two years (four semesters) of academic work and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

A record-breaking total of 16,262 student-athletes from 188 Division II institutions earned the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award in 2020-21. The Northeast-10 Conference featured 1181 honorees, which ranked the league third, out of 23 Division II conferences. The NE10 trailed only the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (1466) and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (1216).

Franklin Pierce’s 144 award recipients ranked fourth in the NE10, behind only Stonehill (166), Pace (153) and Bentley (146). The quartet were among seven NE10 institutions to have at least 100 student-athletes honored by the D2 ADA.
