MANSFIELD, Mass. (June 29, 2021) -- Franklin Pierce University has had 14 student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the spring season, as announced on Tuesday by the league office. The selected Ravens were among 113 student-athletes across 10 sports honored by the NE10.

Four selections from the men’s track & field team led the way for the Ravens: sophomore Connor Everidge (Baldwinville, Mass.), junior Riley Fenoff (Danville, Vt.), senior Antonio Rua (Burrillville, R.I.) and senior Cody Tallent (Bellows Falls, Vt.). They were joined by a pair of honorees from the women’s track & field team, in junior Alena Masterson (Pelham, N.H.) and junior Stephanie Phoenix (Wallingford, Conn.). Multiple Ravens earned Academic All-Conference selections in softball as well, where senior Gina Hinckley (Lancaster, Mass.), graduate student Madi Killebrew (Dana Point, Calif.) and senior Cyrena Zemaitis (Goshen, Conn.) all earned accolades.

In addition, Franklin Pierce had one selection apiece in five other sports. Men’s golf sophomore Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.), men’s tennis senior Yuval Barak (Zicron Ya’akov, Israel), women’s tennis sophomore Laura Alvarez Tello (Vigo, Spain), men’s lacrosse senior Josh Dorr (Brunswick, Maine) and women’s lacrosse junior Megyn Ayotte (Guilford, Vt.) were each honored by the NE10 as well.

Fenoff and Rua are both second-time Academic All-Conference selections in outdoor track & field. The other 12 Ravens were each honored for the first time. Fenoff is a third-time honoree overall, as he also earned the accolade in cross country as a sophomore.

To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-Conference Team, a student-athlete must fulfill each of the following criteria: (1) participated in at least half of the team’s competitions as a starter or significant contributor, (2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale), and (3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current institution. The teams are chosen by the vote of a committee of athletic administrators and Faculty Athletic Representatives.

Franklin Pierce’s 14 Academic All-Conference selections were the second-most among the 14 NE10 member institutions, as the Ravens were eclipsed only by Adelphi, which boasted 19 honorees. Behind Franklin Pierce, Le Moyne (12) and Bentley (10) each had double-digit numbers of student-athletes earn plaudits as well.
