WALTHAM, Mass. (09/27/24) - The Franklin Pierce volleyball team lost in straight sets, 3-0, against the Falcons of Bentley University.  

RECORDS:  

  • FPU: 2-8 (0-1 NE10)  
  • Bentley: 9-3 (2-0 NE10)  

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

  • Bentley dominated from the start, quickly building a lead. Franklin Pierce struggled with service errors allowing Bentley to secure an easy 25-7.  

  • Bentley continued their momentum. Caitlin Wunder led the attack, with multiple service aces from Natalie Thom and Rachel Vitko. Despite a small surge from FPU, Bentley took the set 25-17.  

  • Franklin Pierce attempted a comeback but continued to suffer. Bentley maintained a strong offense, with contributions from Vitko and Wunder. Service aces and solid defense from Bentley kept the Ravens at bay, and the set concluded 25-13 in favor of the Falcons.  

UP NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: Franklin Pierce continues their stretch on the road when they face Assumption next Thursday, October 3 at 6 PM. They return home on Tuesday, September 8th when they host AIC.
