Kohout has been named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Third
Team.RINDGE, N.H. (November 8, 2010) – Senior libero Chelsie Kohout (Harrison Township, Mich.) of the Franklin Pierce University volleyball team has been named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Third Team, as announced on Monday afternoon by the conference office. In addition, freshman outside hitter Lauren Miller (Alexandria, Ind.) was named to the conference's All-Rookie Team.
Kohout finished her senior season with 5.77 digs per set, to lead the conference in that department. She also anchored a Ravens team defensive effort that led the conference in digs per set (17.61) and ranked third in opponent hitting percentage (.158).
On Oct. 13, at home against Massachusetts Lowell, Kohout passed Tara Vece and became the school's all-time leader in digs. When all was said and done, Kohout closed out her career with 1,905 digs, 211 more than Vece.
In her freshman campaign, Miller established herself as a two-way threat for the Ravens. She wound up leading the team in kills per set (2.48) and finished second on the club in digs per set (3.19), behind only Kohout. In addition, Miller served up 45 aces on the season, more than any other Raven.
