LOWELL, MASS. (Nov. 4, 2003) – The Franklin Pierce University volleyball suffered a 3-1 loss to UMass Lowell in Northeast-10 Conference volleyball action this evening.

Freshmen Christina Collett (Tombstone, Ariz./Whetstone) and Erin Moseley (Billerica, Mass.Billerica) and junior Briana Bates (Belmont, N.H./Endicott College) posted 11 kills each for the Ravens. Collett also contributed ten digs and Moseley totaled seven digs. Freshman Michelle McConnell (Elora, Ontario/Centre Wellington) sent down five service aces and added 18 digs despite the loss.

Senior setter Bethany Findley (Clinton, Conn./Morgan School) tallied 40 assists, while sophomore Tara Vece (Clinton, Conn./Morgan School) registered a team-best 21 digs.

The Ravens (11-14, 4-9 NE-10) next travel to Saint Michael’s College on Saturday for a Conference match at 11 a.m. The River Hawks (20-8, 13-1 NE-10) closed out the regular season tonight but will compete in the Northeast-10 tournament on November 14th.
