RINDGE, N.H. (09/30/2024) - Franklin Pierce women's tennis hosted American International College on Monday afternoon. The Ravens swept the Yellow Jackets, 7-0.

Doubles pairings each captured a victory to start off the match. Maria Paz Diaz Florentin (Asunción, Paraguay) and Victoria Azcona (Madrid, Spain) won 6-3 at No. 1 and Zoe Asterio-Correa (Toronto, Ontario) and Gabriela Yamate (Sao Paulo, Brazil) won 6-1 at No. 2.

All four Ravens that competed won in two sets. The Yellow Jackets had to forfeit No. 5 and No. 6 singles. Polina Georgieva (Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria), Asterio-Correa, Florentin and Ana Munoz (Anzoategui, Venezuela) all contributed wins at singles 1-4, respectively.
UP NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: Both the men and women's tennis teams host Saint Michael's on Wednesday, October 2. The men's match is set for 10 AM with the women's match to follow.
