Women’s Tennis: Singles Wins Launch Ravens Over Bentley
WALTHAM, Mass. (09/27/24) - Franklin Pierce women's tennis picks up their second win of the season defeating Bentley, 6-1, Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Ravens opened doubles with a win at the No.3 position, coming in as a 6-0 shut out by Polina Georgieva (Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria) and Ana Munoz (Anzoategui, Venezuela). From the other two courts, Maria Paz Diaz Florentin (Asuncion, Paraguay) and Victoria Azcona (Madrid, Spain) notched a 6-1 win at No. 1, while Zoe Asterio (Toronto, Ontario) and Gabriela Yamate (Sao Paulo, Brazil) fell, 6-4, at No. 2.
In singles, Georgieva won at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-2. Four other Ravens won in singles to give the Ravens the 6-1 win. Yamate, Azcona, Paz Diaz, Munoz all won in two sets against their opponents.
