Ravens back in action Oct. 12 at home against Assumption

NEW LONDON, N.H. (October 11, 2008)
– All six Colby-Sawyer players were victorious in both
singles and doubles on Saturday afternoon as Colby-Sawyer defeated
the Franklin Pierce University women’s tennis team, 9-0, in
non-conference play at Colby-Sawyer.
Freshman Suzana Deronjic (Melrose,
Mass./Melrose) put together the strongest effort of the
afternoon for Franklin Pierce. Deronjic nearly took the first set
before falling to sophomore Hannah White (Stockbridge,
Mass./Monument Mountain) of Colby-Sawyer, 7-6, 7-0.
The Ravens (1-4, 1-3 NE-10) return to the court on Sunday, Oct. 12
when they return home to take on Assumption in a Northeast-10
Conference match at 11 a.m. in Rindge, N.H. Colby-Sawyer (15-0,
10-0 TCCC) moves on to the Commonwealth Coast Conference
quarterfinals on Oct. 14.
