HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • After multiple opportunities in the first 25 minutes, the Ravens opened the scoring when Claudia Peirce (Carver, Mass.) found Gianna Derose (Brewster, N.Y.) in the box on a corner kick.

  • Less than five minutes later, Mikayla Horton (East Islip, N.Y.) sent a dangerous ball into the box from the endline for Chastain Cassidy (Commack, N.Y.) who was able to get the ball past the STAC goalkeeper with a diving header.

  • The Ravens closed out the third half on a breakaway from Olivia Kudrikow (Plymouth, Mass.) who went one on one with a STAC defender and was able to send the ball past Catalena Robson to give the Ravens the 3-0 lead going into halftime.

  • The Ravens did not stop there. In the 48th minute, Ruby Conroy (Hawthorne, N.J.) battled with a Spartan to lay a ball to Jenni Huttunen (Suomi, Finland). Huttunen took a touch and sent a beautiful shot into the upper right corner of the goal.

  • Peirce was a driving force on the outside of the field as she drove the ball to the endline and across the middle of the eighteen for Olivia Crespo (Ludlow, Mass.) who found the ball and hammered it into the goal for the 5-0 lead.

  • Kaitlyn S. Bautista (Scurry, Texas) closed out the scoring on a free kick from the top of the box. Bautista shot a beautiful ball to the upper left corner to seal the deal for the Ravens.
