Ravens Could not Keep up with Falcons

New Haven, Conn. (4/5/25) - The Franklin Pierce Women's Lacrosse team could not recover from a rough second half, losing to the Bentley Falcons 19-6.
Score: Franklin Pierce 6, Bentley 19.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Ravens got off to a rough start in the first quarter, giving up seven goals to the Falcons. Natalia Dutkewych opened the scoring twenty seven seconds into the game unassisted, followed by Kristy Norko scoring another unassisted goal a few minutes later. Later in the quarter, Sophia Pope scored two unassisted to give the Falcons s a 4-0 lead. The Falcons were not done yet as they would score three goals in the final ten minutes of the quarter. However the Ravens answered with a couple goals to get the game to 2-4 in the last ten minutes.
- Ravens started the second quarter hot. Riley Beem scored both assisted Erin McIlroy. But the game went back and forth for the rest of the first half of the second quarter. Another goal from Riley Beem and Emily Ulmer kept the game close. But the Ravens still trailed 9-6.
- Bently ends up dominating the rest of the game without allowing the Ravens to score. They fell to the Falcons 19-6.
BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS
- The Falcons dominated possession, winning 18 draw controls to the Ravens' 11. That led to them outshooting the Ravens 37-21.
- The Ravens went 0 for 2 on free position shots.
- The Falcons dominated the groundballs, gaining 14 to the Ravens' 8.
