PLEASANTVILLE, NY (5/4/2024) – Competing in the Northeast-10 Conference playoffs for the first time in three years, the Franklin Pierce women's lacrosse team dropped a hard 19-6 loss to the no. 1 ranked Pace University Setters Saturday afternoon.

Score: Franklin Pierce 6, Pace 19
Records:
Franklin Pierce 5-12 (4-7, NE10), Pace 18-0 (11-0, NE10)
Location: Pleasantville, New York
Date: Saturday, May 4, 2024

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Setters scored early and often following the opening draw and grabbed the first goal of the game just 28 seconds in. From there, the team poured on six-straight before sophomore attacker Olivia Robb (East Longmeadow, MA) broke through to make it 7-1 at the end of the first quarter.
  • Pace scored the first goal of the second quarter but senior attacker Kayli Hoefs followed up with her first of the game to cut the lead back to six. From there, the Setters went on another six-goal run and closed out the half with a heavy 14-2 lead.
  • Following the 14 goal first half from the Setters, offensive output slowed through the final two quarters and the team only tacked on five goals through the third and fourth quarter. Emily Ulmer (Bedford, NH) and Erin McIlroy (Newfields, NH) netted two goals followed by a pair of finishes from Olivia DeLonais (North Andover, MA) in the fourth quarter but it wasn't enough to mount a comeback as the Ravens fell 19-6.

NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: Saturday's loss marked the final game of the season for the Ravens who finished with 5-12 overall and 4-7 in conference.
