HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The first quarter was a constant celebration for the Ravens who tallied ten unanswered goals including three from senior attacker Kayli Hoefs (Amsterdam, NY) for her eighth hat trick of the season. Five other Ravens joined as Olivia DeLonais (North Andover, MA) and Hermsdorf netted two along with Maura Cogavin (Franklin, MA), Erin McIlroy Newfields, NH) and Emily Ulmer (Bedford, NH) who all grabbed a goal each.
  • Freshman attacker Riley Davis (Weare, NH) scored her second goal of the season and first goal of the second quarter to extend the FPU lead to 11-0. AIC put together a three-goal run but that was ended by back-to-back goals from Cogavin and DeLonais to close out the first half with a 13-3 Ravens lead.
  • AIC started and ended the third quarter with goals but sandwiched in between were three-straight goals from sophomore attacker Olivia Robb (East Longmeadow, MA).
  • Flying to the fourth quarter with an 11-goal lead, the Ravens tallied another three goals from Hermsdorf, DeLonais and freshman attacker Julia Bond (Thompston, CT). AIC grabbed one last goal with just over four minutes left but it was far from enough to catch up to the Ravens who walked away with the 19-6 victory.
  • Point leader Hayley Hermsdorf shot 100 percent on the night after she went three goals on three shots and dished out an additional three assists.
  • At centerfield, Sammi Gallant (Ipswich, MA) and Erin McIlroy dominated the draw controls with seven and nine respectively.
  • FPU goaltenders Katherine Hickey (Farmingdale, NY) and Saige Paradise (Milford, NH) split halves on Wednesday night and each recorded two saves on five shots. In the offensive end, Franklin Pierce fired 44 shots compared to the Yellow Jackets who only took 16.

NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens hit the road on Saturday, April 27th to take on the University of New Haven Chargers with opening draw set for 1:00 PM.
