Levinson and Korneta Earn NEWHA Athlete of the Month Honors

WINTHROP, Mass. (3/4/25) - The New England Women's Hockey Alliance released its Athletes of the Month for the month of February. Brynn Levinson (Glencoe, Ill.) was named the Player of the Month and Maggie Korneta (Naperville, Ill.) was named the Defensive Player of the Month.
Levinson was a key contributor for Franklin Pierce throughout February, tallying six goals and four assists for 10 points over seven conference games while maintaining a plus-five rating. She contributed four power-play goals, including a game-winner against Stonehill (Feb. 1). The freshman recorded points in five of the team's seven games. Levinson was instrumental in the team's success, contributing to a 5-2-0 record, highlighted by three multiple-point games.
Korneta continued to dominate the blue line for Franklin Pierce in February, contributing on both ends of the ice with four points (2G, 2A) and a plus-six rating over seven conference games while helping the Ravens secure three shutout victories. Korneta's defensive presence was crucial, as she maintained her conference-best plus-17 rating and remained tied for the league lead with 15 assists on the season.
The Ravens 2024-25 campaign came to a close this past weekend as Post Unversity defeated the Ravens in the NEWHA Quarterfinals.
