Release by Director of Athletic Communications Luke Tracy
MANSFIELD, MA (6/5/2024) – Franklin Pierce University women's golf closed out its 2024 season on a historic note after the Northeast-10 named junior Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) Women's Golf Player of the Year and Head Coach Tyler Bishop NE10 Women's Golf Coach of the Year.
Prukmathakul's Player of the Year award marked her third in three years, something that has never been done since the NE10 officially sponsored women's golf in 2014.
During Prukmathakul's 2023-24 campaign, she took first place individually at five of the team's 11 tournaments including the Northeast-10 Championship where she won with a four-stroke lead over the second-place finisher.
After punching their ticket to the NCAA Division II Regional Championship in the first week of May, the Ravens competed in a field of 15 teams at the Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana. After three days of play, the team finished 10th overall led by Prukmathakul who finished tied for 16th place out of 82 players with a final score of (76-82-74-232) which was just 9 strokes away from the first-place winner.
For Head Coach Tyler Bishop, who leads both the men's and women's teams at Franklin Pierce University, the 2024 Women's Golf Coach of the Year Award marked his fourth straight and sixth all time.
