Yamamoto, Rittawee Pace Ravens to Clubhouse Lead at FPU Invite

KEENE, N.H. (September 22, 2019) The Franklin Pierce University women's golf team held the lead again for the third straight tournament heading into the final round of the FPU Women's Fall Invitational Sunday afternoon at the Keene Country Club.

The Ravens had 11 golfers compete in the tournament. Their top-five scored a team-low 311 (+23) which is seven strokes more than Northeast-10 Conference opponent Assumption College (318, +30). Southern New Hampshire University is two strokes behind the Greyhounds at 320 (+32).

Team captain Zoey Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) went in the clubhouse as the leader firing a 73 (+1) round. Teammate Jinnapat Rittawee (Kanchanaburi, Thailand) is tied for second with Christine Cutting of Assumption shooting a 75 (+3). Senior Taylor Hartley (Canton, Ga.) contributed to the team total tying for 11th place at 80 (+8) while Alia Godek (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and Christine Songcuan (Lancaster, Calif.) added an 87 (+15).

Senior Rosa Jones (Mastic, N.Y.) competed as an individual and is deadlocked into eighth place with Paulette Romero of American International College (79, +7). Micaela Leandro (Harlingen, Texas) ranks within the top 20 turning in an 84 (+12) scorecard. Graduate student Maddie Myers (Colchester, Vt.) shot an 88 (+16) while Taylor Kelly (Newington, Conn.), Sydney Caron (Gorham, Maine) and Liz Crandall (Pawcatuck, Conn.) produced, 91 (+19), 95 (+23) and 101 (+29) rounds respectively.

FPU tees off early tomorrow for the second round as they search for their third team tournament title of the season.
