EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y. (September 15, 2019) - The Franklin Pierce University women's golf team entered Sunday with a commanding lead over the competition in the Le Moyne College Fall Invitational. Sunday saw much of the same as the Ravens finished in first place at the Links at Erie Village.

The momentum from day one carried over for the Ravens shooting a total of 308 (+24) to finish the weekend with a 618 (+50) score. Franklin Pierce would finish with an 18-stroke lead above the second place Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University, a fellow member of the Northeast-10 Conference. This was the second tournament the Ravens have won this year. 

It was a team effort for the Ravens, as the reigning NE10 Golfer and Rookie of the Week freshman Jinnapat Rittawee (Kanchanaburi, Thailand) and senior Zoey Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) finished first and second on the player's leaderboard. Rittawee finished one over par to earn her second collegiate win with Yamamoto not far behind finishing the weekend 149 (+7).

Freshman Alia Godek (Feeding Hills, Mass.). earned a top ten finish placing eighth shooting 163 (+21) on the weekend. Sophomore Christine Songcuan (Lancaster, Calif.) tied for 11th place dropping seven strokes off her first-round total finishing 165 (+23) on the invitational. Senior Taylor Hartley (Canton, Ga.) finished the Ravens scoring at 175 (+33).

The Ravens are back in action next week as they host the annual FPU Fall Invitational starting on Sunday, September 22nd at the Keene Country Club.
