GUILDERLAND, N.Y. September 9, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University women's golf team never trailed during the 2019-20 season-opening tournament winning the Saint Rose Fall Invitational hosted by the Western Turnpike Golf Club in Guilderland, N.Y.

The Ravens concluded the first round combining for a 324 (+36) score and only tacked on one stroke to their second-round total (325, +37) to finish both rounds at 649 (+73). The tourney featured all Northeast-10 Conference programs and Southern New Hampshire University (665, +89) and Stonehill College (668, +92) rounded out the top three.

Freshman Jinnapat Rittawee (Kanchanaburi, Thailand) headed to the clubhouse as the leader following the first round (78, +6) and posted a steady 78 (+6) to capture tournament medalist honors at 156 (+12) in her collegiate debut.

Rittawee's classmate Alia Godek (Feeding Hills, Mass.) joined her in the top-five by firing a 159 (+15). Godek climbed four slots on the player leaderboard as she subtracted five strokes off her first-round card (82, +10) to pace the Ravens second-round showings (77, +5).

Team captain Zoey Yamamoto (Honolulu, Hawaii) recorded a top-ten finish (seventh place) shooting a 161 (+10). Senior Taylor Hartley (Canton, Ga.) tied for 21st at 173 (+16) and Christine Songcuan (Lancaster, Calif.) score was 182 (+20). Freshman Micaela Leandro (Harlingen, Texas) traveled and competed as an individual chipping in a 181 (+19).

The Ravens are back in action this weekend as they travel to the Le Moyne Invitational at The Links at Erie Village in East Syracuse, N.Y.
